The Big Bang

As we all know, life started with the big bang.

That's how this blog started off as well....A big bang.. A big bang on the head to be exact that gave us the idea to create a blog.A place where BSMMers from unit SL(Y)180 and abroad will be able to discuss, debate and decide on the current happenings in the world.

Be it the global financial crisis or the simple matters of who is the best at scissors-paper-stones. This will be the place for everyone to settle those matters once and for all.

Hope everyone will enjoy the blog and visit often
P.S. Try to leave a comment after visiting =) We just love to read them.

Subang Jaya's Installation .

After crazy rides by taxis that charged more than they should, bumpy komuter rides, and smooth LRT rides we finally arrived at the SMK Subang Jaya for their installation.
Yes, another installation. In fact, it was actually on a Saturday/ a school day for us Selangor schools, but some of us happened to just skip school on that day.
Oh yeah, they had plenty... PLENTY members and recruits.

That days' agenda was the usual long speeches by the VIPs, the installment of the recruits, stepping up and stepping down of BOD members, performances, and yes my favourite; LUNCH!

I remember it vividly; chocolate muffins, mango jellies, boxes and boxes of Domino pizzas, fizzy drinks, salad,sweets... etc * okay, skip this part*

Basically, our main purpose there was to get to know Selangor BSMM members from other schools and how they carry out their activities. There were Damansara Jaya, Abdul Samad, Subang Utama,Sri Utama, USJ 4, Bukit Bintang and etc.

some of SJ's activities

blood drive

bowling tournament

and the juniors.

Another favourite part of mine; Lucky draw!

Another good gathering, I shall say!

Wesley Methodist Annual Gathering

We were invited to Wesley Methodist High School for their Annual gathering in Kuala Lumpur .

LRT Klang

According to them, it would be best if we all took the LRT since their school is right beside the station.

Basically, an annual gathering is a gathering between schools where we meet members of BSMM from other schools. Usually, the host will prepare some performances, games and a meal for all the participants. V.IP.s too are invited like the OC Belia and more.

We definitely made our school proud and much much well known;
our HSL, Mark Chua conducted the "Wasabilee" game.

They had really fun station games.

KL people are really friendly, you know.

I really mean it!

This Indian dude, Navin broke HSL's backbone for sure.

For your info, Wesley Methodist is a private school; they have lifts, auditorium, clean bathrooms, humongous field etc .

Plaster hunting

How well is your general knowledge?

After a tiring day of mingling around with those KL peeps, we all then headed home by LRT.

One heck of an adventure for the form1s ofcourse . All in all, it was utterly a good gathering!

Sri Utama Annual Gathering and Installation

We were also invited to Sri Utama's Installation. It was quite hard to go there as we did not know exactly where it was. But we obviously managed to find our way there.
listening to speeches
New BOD containing Form 3s and Form 4s
They did a half marching thing and ended with this
The lion dance was way cool and loud
Wonder if we'll ever have a chance to get a lion dance performance for our unit
They were very loud and we were sitting just beside them
Taekwando was amazing...they manage to mix their moves with music and the result was awesomeness

Other school peeps

A lot of food

Us with the Sri Utama BOD
Same as above

SMJK Katholik

We went back at around 12.30 pm. Thx for inviting us Sri Utama =)

Sports Day 14/2/08

February 14,2008 - Valentine's Day, a day which was celebrated by couples all over the world. Which makes one suspect that the school had scheduled Sport's Day to fall on this day on purpose just so to spoil our festive mood. Nevertheless, our ever dedicated marchers chose to sacrifice their personal relationships for the sake of our beloved unit.

Got third place again =) Should have been second or even first. Well I wont delve into the world of school politics.

Preparing for the competition. Our commander (second from left) serious as always
